Blue pool
The blue pool is a small natural pool of volcanic rock and incredibly clear water. It is located in the north of the island, in the imposing Gulf Valley, and just 4 kilometres away, you will also find the Charco de los Sargos, another natural pool with turquoise waters.
Orchilla Lighthouse
One of the most secluded places on the island, the Faro de Orchilla, you will also enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of a large volcano. The best time to visit the area is in the evening, the sunsets will not leave you indifferent. To get to the lighthouse, you will have to drive along a narrow road with a lot of bends, but it will definitely be worth it.
La Llanía Forest
One of the essential places to visit in El Hierro, take comfortable shoes and prepare your camera, you are going to see one of the most beautiful forests. It is located in the centre of the island, in such a volcanic island it is really surprising that you can find so much humid vegetation. You can choose 3 circular hiking routes of different lengths, all of them easy.
Beaches Natural Monument
One of the most surprising and well-known spots on the island is the Natural Monument of Las Playas. Located in the south of the island, you will be able to enjoy the high and steep cliffs that end in the sea through extensive beaches of volcanic sand. You can also visit the Roque de Bonanza, one of the symbols of the island.
